These terms apply to expeditions sold on this website (Adventure Carstensz), operated by PT Adventure Carstensz.

Prices

Prices on this website are indicative prices per person in US dollars and depend on team size. Your final price, what is included and the payment schedule are confirmed in your written quote and booking confirmation.

Flights to and from Timika, travel and rescue insurance, personal climbing gear, visa fees and personal expenses are not included unless your quote says otherwise.

Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed when you accept the written quote and pay a 50% down payment. The down payment allows us to process the police travel permit and reserve helicopter slots.

The remaining balance must be paid by the date stated in your booking confirmation.

Cancellation and changes

Cancellation conditions and any non-refundable costs (such as permits and helicopter reservations already paid) are stated in your quote and booking confirmation.

If we must cancel an expedition before departure, we offer a new date or a refund of the amounts paid to us, as described in your booking confirmation.

Weather, safety and the summit

Mountain weather, helicopter operations and government decisions can change the program. The expedition leader may change the schedule, delay or stop a summit attempt for safety reasons. Reaching the summit is never guaranteed.

You must be physically fit, have rock-climbing skills suitable for the route, pass the medical check in Timika and follow the instructions of the guides.

Permits and documents

You must provide correct passport and personal details on time so that permits can be issued. Permits are issued by the authorities, and we cannot be responsible for their decisions.

Insurance

Every climber must have insurance that covers high-altitude climbing, medical treatment and helicopter rescue.

Liability

Mountaineering has inherent risks. Our liability is limited to the services we provide and to the extent permitted by Indonesian law.
